This paper focuses on investing in science and technology to ensure sustainable development and avert man-made catastrophes in North Africa. The sub region commands vast sea, land and mineral resources, and has immense potential for development provided adequate efforts are made to invest in science and technology that can raise the quality and the standard of living of the peoples.
