This mission report AWDF Executive Board Meeting, May 1st-4th presented by Hilda Tadria Regional Advisor, ACGD. The objective of the mission was to attend Meeting of the Africa Women’s Development Fund. The African Women’s Development Fund, with its headquarters based in Accra, Ghana is an Africa wide fundraising and grant making fund which supports the work of organizations that promote the empowerment of women. The regional Advisor is a broad member of the fund and provides regular technical advice for the economic empowerment. In this regard, the Regional Advisor is also a member of the programmes committee, which reviews funding proposals and provides policy guidelines on how best to make the Fund more responsive to women’s needs. The other objective of the mission was, to participate in the programme Committee meeting, for the selection of the next grantees. This report captures the proceeding of the meeting.
