dc.description.abstract | This study represents an attempt to identify products which either already hold a share of the trade exchange between developing African countries or have a potentiality for entering this trade, be they commodities, semi-manufactured or manufactured. Attention has been given both to the importance of the product concerned in the economy and the exports of the producer country in terms of quantity, production potential and value added and the potential marketing possibilities i.e. existing and potential demand in African consumer markets and, whenever possible, to the future trends of this demand. considering the dynamic character of intra-African trade development, it will be gradually extended to include other products following the pattern of African production and demand. In indicating actual products in which trade between African countries could be increased and potential products which under given conditions could enter the current of intra-African trade, and their potential markets. | en |
