Abstract

Unilever is a group of some 500 companies carrying on a wide variety of business in approximately 75 countries. In Unilever’s present growth pattern, acquisitions constitute a relatively miner part. Acquisitions are made when Unilever sees a possibility of merger between its own skills and these of the business acquired. Unilever is engaged in the manufacture and sale of a wide variety of goods, mainly for household consumption. Unilever is one of the largest industrial and commercial concerns in the world mainly in the field of household products.
