Abstract

This report summarizes the proceedings of the Regional Workshop on Environmental Sustainability and Energy Development held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from March 6-10, 1995. The workshop aimed to address key energy and environmental issues in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Sudan. It focused on identifying constraints, proposing solutions, and developing implementation strategies for sustainable energy development. The report includes country-specific action plans, discussions on hydropower, fuelwood use, technology choices, and capacity building.
