Measures for promoting cooperation at sub-regional level in the production and distribution of agricultural machinery and farm equipment in the Yaounde bases MULPOC countries
Abstract
Africa is the typical world's region where agricultural activities are associated with the highest degree of drudgery and obsolete techniques is wen recognized. FAO (1988) also reveals that about 90 percent of land which are tined in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), are so with simple hand tools. This means that most energy used in the region's agricultural sector originates from human muscle and explains why the sector is referred to as that of digging stick and hoe farming with rural households bound to subsistence life.
