Technical co-operation for accelerated development is a critical component of the support provided by the international community through the United Nations to the developing countries for their efforts to expand and diversify their economies and thereby bring about sustained increases in the standards of living of their
people. In essence, such co-operation is designed to help alleviate and ultimately eradicate the gaps in technical, managerial and administrative skills prevailing in the developing countries so that capital formation for expanding their productive capacities can proceed smoothly and efficiently.
