Report of the Sub-Regional meeting of heads of statistical offices in West Africa

Abstract

The meeting was organized in co-operation with the ECA Sub-regional Office, Niamey, and discussions tool, place from 19,-23 October, 1964. It was one of a series of sub-regional projects designed to promote closer contact between statistical offices and to enable the examination of specific local problems. In considering the provisional agenda the meeting expressed the wish that the statistical role of the ECA Sub-regional Office should be, included under item 4(b) and that training should be discussed as a whole under item 5, rather than under three sub-items.
