African women and economic development. Investing in our future : Summary of proceedings
Résumé
The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) took an unprecedented step of marking its 40th Anniversary by convening an International Conference on the theme, "African Women and Economic Development: Investing in Our Future" in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During this memorable event which started on Tuesday 28 April 1998, the UN Conference Centre was inaugurated by The UN Secretary-General, Mr Kofi Annan.
