Report of the fourth session of the Committee on Social Policy, Poverty and Gender

Abstract

The Committee on Social Policy, Poverty and Gender is a statutory body of experts and policymakers, entrusted with providing guidance and advice to the Gender, Poverty and Social Policy Division through the review of activities implemented during the biennium 2020–2021 and strategic vision and direction for the next plan period, 2021–2023. The aim of the session was to review and provide strategic guidance to the work of the Division and to share with member States the Division’s new areas of focus and policy interventions in delivering on its mandate to eradicate extreme poverty and reduce inequality for inclusive and equitable growth, taking into account the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
