The fourth Conference of African Ministers of Industry held in Kaduiia.in November 1977'resolved that co-operation among African countries in establishing industrial co-operative arrangements and programmes should be pursued irrespective of differences in political and economic systems In -the light of this, the main objective of this report is to explore the possibilities and modalities for development of African Multinational Industrial Corporations (AMICs), taking, into account the needs for control over natural resources through collective self-reliance and development of manpower and technology.
