This annual report of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), which covers the period 3 March 1963 to 2 March 1964, was adopted by the Commission at its 113th meeting on 3 March 1964. It is submitted to the Economic and Social Council at its thirty-eighth session in accordance with paragraph 18 of the Commission's terms of reference which states that the Commission shall submit to the Economic and Social Council once a year a full report on its activities and plans, including those of subsidiary bodies.
