Résumé
The second Joint Annual Meetings of the AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development was held in Cairo, Egypt from 2 to 7 June 2009. The Conference was formally opened by His Excellency Mr. Sufian Ahmed, Chairperson of the outgoing Bureau of the Conference and Honourable Minister of Finance of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Opening remarks were made by His Excellency Mr. Abdoulie Janneh, United Nations Under-Secretary General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and His Excellency Dr. Jean Ping, Chairperson of the African Union Commission. Statement was also made by His Excellency Dr. Youssef Butrous-Ghali, Minister of Finance of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
