Intra-African trade : situation, problems, and prospects a general analysis

Abstract

This study highlights main the features of intra-African trade with a view to identifying the major reasons why it has so fur failed to respond to the measures already adapted by African countries to promote its expansion. It also examines the prevailing situation of Africa's trade in the world setting followed by a review of the current situation of intra-African trade. The analysis will highlight the commodity structure of the trade, the current flow of goods, the various obstacles to trade including tariff and non-tariff barriers trade infrastructure and finance.
