This report examines the financial appropriation framework and economic benefits of geospatial information management in Africa. It highlights the challenges faced in geospatial information management, including inadequate funding, poor infrastructure, and limited access to data. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data collected through surveys and literature reviews. Results indicate that existing budgeting mechanisms are often ineffective, with a preference for zero-based budgeting among respondents. The report proposes a new financial appropriation framework that treats geospatial information as national infrastructure, advocating for increased budget allocations and prioritization of capacity building and communication. The economic benefits of geospatial information are explored across various sectors, including agriculture, health, and urban planning, emphasizing its role in sustainable development and resource management. Recommendations for enhancing geospatial investments and improving national spatial data infrastructure are provided, aiming to foster economic growth and development in African countries.en
