This paper examines how Zambia can better structure Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to achieve economic development and inclusive growth. Despite receiving significant FDI, Zambia's growth has not been inclusive or transformative. The study compares Zambia's performance with resource-rich countries like Botswana and Chile, highlighting the importance of leveraging comparative advantages and implementing proactive industrial policies. The paper suggests that Zambia should focus on diversification, human and physical capital investment, and citizen participation in value chains to translate FDI into sustainable development.en
