dc.description.abstract | The present document focuses on the economy of Tunisia, which has been heavily affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The country is particularly vulnerable to climate change and its economic and social consequences. Tunisia, like all North African countries, must change its development model to integrate resilience to future shocks as a central pillar and design public policies based on a systemic approach to future risks. The current crisis is therefore a symptom of profound changes that have occurred on a global scale and created great uncertainty for developing countries, including Tunisia, regarding the conditions of their economic and social development. In this context, each country must assess its fragilities to take them into account when considering adaptation and resilience to future crises and shocks. | en |
