Background report on the sub-theme of peace, justice and strong institutions
Abstract
The present paper was prepared by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) with input from various partners, the work of which contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 16 – the fundamental Goal for the inclusive achievement of all the Goals. Indeed, good governance constitutes the foundation upon which all the targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development are built.
