Abstract

The Conference of Ministers, Noting with grave concern that, despite current national and global efforts, the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine and extreme weather events are widening the development financing gap in Africa and augmenting the continent’s debt vulnerabilities, Concerned that the asymmetric responses to the pandemic by developed and developing countries in terms of fiscal stimulus and vaccination are leading to a slower recovery in developing regions, in particular the African continent.
