Progress report on the work of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning

Abstract

This progress report, – which is being submitted to the fifty-third session of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in accordance with current practices and in response to its request for regular updates on the reports that the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP)1 submits to its Governing Council – covers the period April 2019–March 2020. It highlights the Institute’s key results achieved, particularly with regard to the implementation of its training programmes and research activities, resources, and the latest developments relating to human and financial resources and partnerships. The report concludes with an outline of the prospects for 2020.
