Presque trois décennies se sont maintenant écoulées depuis la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale et le commencement d'une nouvelle ère marquée par le processus de décolonisation qui a donné naissance à une constellation de nations généralement désignée sous le nom de Tiers-Monde. L’objectif dans ce document est essentiellement, d'analyser la structure et le fonctionnement du système économique mondial et sa rationalité dans l’optique des peuples du Tiers-Monde. L’étude portera sur les inégalités de l'ordre économique mondial actuel et les problèmes que rencontrent les nouvelles nations dans leurs efforts pour se libérer du sous-développement et de la dépendance.
