This work programme is financed out of the budget allocations provided by the General Assembly on the one hand had the extra budgetary contributions granted by donor governments or institutions on the other. The total resources made available for the implementation of the current work programme 1984-1985 biennium amount to $US 62,119,00 out of which $46,312,300 derived from the regular budget. The project profiles which are annexed to this report have been conceived not only with the priority areas outlined in the ECA work programme 1986-1987 in mind but also the severe economic and social crisis which prevails now in the African region.
