This document outlines a United Nations Development Account Interregional Project implemented by the African Centre for Gender and Social Development of the ECA. The project aims to enhance the capacity of governments to promote social inclusion, gender equality, and health promotion by developing additional Africa-specific MDG targets and indicators. It involves both secondary and primary research, including consultations with member states and stakeholders, to identify supplementary targets for socially excluded groups and health equity. The project also seeks to establish knowledge networks for discussing and disseminating relevant information.
