Ethiopia is a primary agriculture country with about 85 percent of its population living in rural, areas. Agriculture is the dominant sector accounting for about 45 percent of expert and 80 percent of total employment. The country is endowed with natural resources in terms of stock, quality a diversity. Its economy is mainly based on renewable -natural resources which are mostly used for subsistence lifestyle. According to 1984 population census in 1997 the total population of Ethiopia is estimated at 61.3 million. This makes it the second largest populated country in sub-Saharan Africa. Renewable natural resources, i.e., land, water, forest as well as other forms of biodiversity has to meet all the demands of the human and animal populations.
