Abstract
The fifth issue of STPA News gives again summarized information on statistical training opportunities in two other African centers which, are not participating in the Statistical Training. Program for Africa (STPA). It is still hoped that other non-STPA centers will send information on their activities to be included in the subsequent issues. This issue also includes information on other short-term statistical training courses offered outside the region. The addresses of the organizers are given with a view to enabling the people interested in these courses to obtain detailed information directly from them. Information is also given on activities undertaken in the framework of the request submitted to the Commission of the European Communities for financial assistance to the STPA program.
