Abstract
This report details a mission to Lesotho aimed at assisting the Bureau of Statistics (BOS) in developing integrated and inter-sectoral databases using modern information technologies. The mission identified issues such as scattered data, inconsistency, and duplication of efforts, and proposed solutions including the creation of a comprehensive data warehouse, improved data management systems, and enhanced information dissemination methods. Key activities included consultations with various stakeholders, assessment of current information and communications environments, and recommendations for implementing an integrated statistical information system.
