Report on a mission to Khartoum (Sudan) (18-26 July 1979)

Abstract

This report on mission to Khartoum, Sudan from 18-26 July 1979, delivered by Peter Wingfield Digby Consultant African Household Survey Capability Programme. Mr. Digby, on his report highlighted that; the objective of the mission was to advise the department of Statistics, Ministry of National Economy and Planning, on a suitable reweighting system to be applied to the data collected from the rural sample in the recent Sudan Household Budget and Consumption Survey. He recommend that the Department of Statistics takes steps to retrieve these maps as soon as possible; besides providing valuable information on the sample design of this present survey, they may prove extremely useful for the planning of future surveys.
