Governance experts meeting in Nairobi from 5-7 July concluded deliberations with a clear roadmap to guide the production of the third edition of the African Governance Report (AGR III) on the theme, "elections and the management of diversity in Africa". AGR III is expected to make significant contributions to development and policy dialogue in Africa on this theme. Forty-five countries are expected to participate in the research and evaluation process leading to the third edition of AGR. The experts emphasized the need to ensure that the AGR III research process captures citizen voices defining their own destinies. As with previous AGR productions, the process will include expert panel surveys, desk research and focus group discussions with women, youth, political party members, community-based organizations working in the field of governance; as well as individuals from the private sector.
