Abstract
The statement by Professor Adebayo Adedeji at the Kampala Forum on Security, Stability, Development, and Cooperation in Africa (SSDCA) addresses the interconnected crises of political instability, economic decline, and social unrest across the continent. It underscores the need for security and stability as foundational elements for sustainable development and cooperation. The document advocates for a comprehensive approach that encompasses the promotion of human rights, economic equity, public accountability, and effective conflict resolution. Additionally, it highlights the significance of African-led initiatives and the importance of partnerships with the global community, rooted in mutual respect. Ultimately, the goal is to usher in a new era of democratization, empowerment, and regional integration for Africa.
