Abstract
This statement presented by the representative of the delegation of Cameron to the seventh session of the commission. The representative on his statement outlines The Economic Commission for Africa is seeking to combat this poverty in our continent, and its efforts to bring about a gradual rise in the level of human dignity and in the well-being of the peoples provide commendable evidence of its determination. Considerable results have already been achieved, since the political authorities of the States appreciate the need to co-ordinate their economic machinery. The various seminars and training courses organized by the Commission for the African elite are helping to give them a common awareness of continental problems.
