Statement by Mr. Pognon, assistant to the Administrative Secretary-General of the organization of African Unity to the Seventh session of the commission

Abstract

This statement presented by MR. Pognon, Assistant to the administrative secretary-general of the organization of African Unity to the seventh session of the commission. The representative points out that the hopes of the African Heads of States were fulfilled beyond all measure, showing the extent of the indebtedness to ECA of the OAU Economic and Social Commission, and hence of the entire organization. Recognition of the need of the two organizations to complement one another in view of the new situation created by the establishment of OAU in general and of its Economic and Social Commission in particular
