The coordination between the African Development Bank (AfDB), the African Union Commission (AUC), and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in the field of statistics continues. The joint production of the annual African Statistical Yearbook (ASYB) is
a testimony of the ever-stronger partnerships between the three pan-African organizations. The joint production through a pan-African mechanism gives the ASYB a continental seal of approval. Working together, we check and validate the data to improve the quality and reduce potential inconsistencies that would have resulted from
separate go-it-alone products.
