Implementation of the declaration and the programme of action on the establishment of a new international economic order : note by the secretairat

Abstract

The sixth special session of the General Assembly, which had been called to the initiative of President Hourari Boumedienne of Algeria, closed its deliberations by adopting a Declaration on the Establishment of a New International Economic order (1) and a Programme of Action (2) intended to put the declaration into effect. The two texts were adopted with out a vota. However, a number of the developed countries recorded their reservations about parts of the texts.
