This paper focuses on survey of economic and social conditions in Africa, 1995-1996 statistical annex. The Statistical Annex is intended to provide a cross section of data required for describing the economic and social conditions in Africa up to the year 1994/1995 with special focus on changes that have taken place since 1990. Thus, it
provides the background information for some of the estimates given in
the text relating to the performance of the African economy in the period 199.0 to 1995. The data are limited to the 53 member States of ECA since the report is essentially meant for these countries.
