This paper focuses on mission report of Meeting of the Assembly of the African Heads of State and Governments 24-31January2005 Abuja, Nigeria. The Agenda of the meeting included the following items Participate in the ongoing campaign to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Solemn Declaration on Gender Equality Facilitate networking of the participants thereby promoting collective ownership of the follow-up process and Establish clear strategies for lobbying and advocacy in favor of the Solemn Declaration.
