The Commission decided to recommend the adoption by the Economic and Social Council of a draft resolution the text of which is reproduced in part IV of the annual report of the Commission. This draft was put before the Economic and Social Council at its forty-seventh session and, on 31 July 1969, the Council adopted resolution 1440 (XLVIl)
