Progress report on the statistical survey of Africa

Abstract

The conference having agreed to the main lines for the development of basic statistics considered that the next step was for each countries and territories. it might then be desirable to have a further meeting of the conference to establish in greater details the goals of the survey, to ascertain specific needs for external assistance of various kinds and to consider the possibilities of joint action on particular topics in the region or sub-regions.
