Pledging Conference for the United Nations Trust Fund for African Development : progress report on the utilization of pledges for 1985 and 1986
Résumé
As requested by resolution 288(X.Il) of the Conference of Ministers the Executive Secretary of ECA convened the first pledging conference" of African plenipotentiaries in April 1977 in Lagos, Nigeria. Thereafter the ECA Conference of Ministers decided by resolution 33l(XIV) that pledging conferences should be arranged on a biennial basis. By adopting resolution 37/139 the General Assembly of the .United* Nations called upon all governments, as well as governmental and non-governmental institutions to make contributions to the United Nations Trust Fund for African Development (UUTFAD).
