Abstract
The objective of this document is to provide an overview of the implementation of the statistical activities at ECA since the second meeting of ABSA (April 2005 to June 2006). The presentation of this report is as follow. After the introduction, the second section presents the implementation of the 2004-2005 work programme. The third section presents the implementation of statistical activities since ABSA . The fourth section reviews the resources used to implement statistical activities at ECA while the fifth section deals with the proposed work programme for the biennium 2006-2007. The sixth section presents the issue of ECA repositioning with a focus on the ECA's statistics function and finally, the last section draws attention to issues for consideration by the Board.
