Résumé
The meeting was opened by the outgoing President of ARCC. In her introductory note, she congratulated the new States members of ARCC on their election as members of the committees of their respective subregions. The meeting was being held at a time when the survival of the subregional programme for the integration of women in development was at stake. She urged the members of ARCC to co-ordinate their efforts to maintain the achievements of /African women and to strengthen the structures for tho integration of women in development established in the region.
