Report on ECA's activities in the area of geoinformation since the third meeting of the Committee on Development Information

Abstract

The ECA Secretariat is pleased to submit its report on activities carried out by ECA in the area of geo-information since the third meeting of the Committee on Development Information. The report includes actions taken as a follow-up to resolutions adopted by CODI.3 and other activities considered to be of interest to member States. The implementation of the work programme was to a great extent geared to promoting and facilitating the realization of the major aspects of the issues recommended during CODI.3 Meeting. The activities focused on: (i) policy issues, (ii) technical materials, (iii) capacity building, and (iv) international cooperation and liaison.
