Progress report on pledges and payments by member states and institutions, project implementation and expenditures for the period 1982-1983 : executive summary

Abstract

The United Nations Trust Fund for African Development was established in June 1976 by the Secretary-General of the United Nations after consultation with the secretariat of the Economic Commission for Africa. As per resolution 28S(XVII) of 26 February 1977 adopted by the EGA Conference of Ministers which requests the Executive Secretary of the Commission to convene a pledging conference biennially, four pledging conferences have taken place so far. Hereunder is a summary of the status of pledges made at the four biennial UNTFAD pledging conferences held to date and the payments made against those pledges as of 31 December 1983.
