This brief report examines the main aspects of trade and finance which are of particular importance as a catalyst for co-operation in the other major sectors such as agriculture, industry, transport and communications. it reviews the recent actions taken by member countries, as well as secretariat in the implementation of the plan of action and final act of Lagos. The present review will attempt to highlight the major achievements as well as the areas which have been seriously neglected in the process of implementation of the LPA.
