Report of the ECA study tour on community development in Asia

Abstract

This is a report of a study tour on community development methods and techniques in Asia, which was organized, in November, 1963 by United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in co-operation with the United Nations Technical Assistance Operations, for senior community development officials from nine African, countries In the form presented, the report seeks to capture the varied personal impressions and experiences of the African community development officials who took part in the study tour, on the methods and techniques employed, by the governments of the four Asian, countries visited in- the planning, organization and implementation of their respective programmes of community development.
