Silver jubilee anniversary meetings: conference of ministers: Draft report

Abstract

The Silver Jubilee Anniversary of the Commission, coinciding with the eighteenth session of the Commission and ninth meeting of the Conference of Ministers, was held at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 27 April to 2 May 1983. The meeting was opened on 27 April 1983 by H.E. Mr. Fauzi Ahmed Elshakshouki, outgoing Chairman of the eighth meeting of the Conference, who invited all participants to observe a minute of silent prayer or meditation and proposed a vote of thanks to the Chairman, Government and people of Ethiopia. The newly elected Chairman welcomed all participants to Addis Ababa and thanked them for the honour conferred on him and his country by his election to the office of Chairman of the Silver Jubilee session.
