Proceedings of the conference of ministers responsible for human resources planning, development and utilization : Monrovia, 5-7 October 1981
Abstract
The first Conference of African Ministers responsible for Human Resources Planning, Development and Utilization was held from 5 to 7 October 1981, in Monrovia (Liberia). It was preceded by the meeting of the Technical Preparatory Committee of Officials, which 'met from 28 September to 3 October 1981, in the same venue.
The Conference of Ministers was opened by the Chairman of the People's Redemption Council and Head of State, Commander In Chief, Samuel K. Doe.
In his opening remarks the Head of State and Chairman of the People's Redemption Council, extended warm welcome to the Ministers and other representatives of member States and to the representatives of international and intergovernmental organizations present. He indicated that their presence was a test testimony of the exceptional confidence in the efforts of the Government of Liberia to create a new economic and social order designed to enhance the development of the people in all aspects of life.
