Review of sources and methods of financing for housing and urban development in Africa

Abstract

The housing situation in most African countries is unsatisfactory, quantitatively and qualitatively. The underlying factors are population growth, rapid urbanization and resultant overcrowding) finance, under development of productive resources, and the failure to draw up and implement effective housing programmes.
