Report on cartographic activity in Kenya 1950 -1963

Abstract

This, report is a brief description of cartographic and related activities in Kenya since 1950. The Survey of Kenya which was founded in 1906 is the department of the Kenya Government responsible for all major cartographic activity in Kenya. In the fields of primary and secondary triangulation and Medium and small, scale topographical mapping, valuable assistance has been received during the period under consideration, from the Directorate of Overseas Surveys (DOS), a branch of the British Department of Technical Co-operation, and from the British Army.
