Abstract
Effective national leadership and coordination is needed to support new employment generation sectors, as BPOs and offshoring businesses are emerging economic areas. There is a need for awareness rising, particularly for policy makers on the ICT benefits and new opportunities for economic growth in Africa.ICT capacity building is so crucial at all levels to meet the ICT industry requirements and benfit from new businesses. The youth should be encouraged to gain new ICT skills to achieve economic benefits and opportunities in this sector.
