Abstract

This paper focuses on aerial photographs and interim cartography on A 1:1, 000,000 scale. The normal process of compiling maps on a 1:1,000,000 scale consists essentially in. making an appropriate generalization of the most detailed maps, generally called "base maps", which have been prepared in their turn directly from aerial photographs.
